Prompt: After reading Chapter 1 of Into the Wild, consider your first impression of Christopher McCandless. Based solely on the events and details presented in this opening chapter, do you believe McCandless truly understood the risks he was taking when he entered the Alaskan wilderness? Why or why not?

 After reading Chapter 1 of Into the Wild my first impression of Christopher McCandless was that he was confident but unprepared. I do not think he fully understood the risks of entering the Alaskan wilderness. He seemed determined to live independently and prove he could survive on his own. However he did not bring enough supplies or proper equipment. This shows he may have underestimated how dangerous Alaska could be.

My favorite word right now is intriguing which means interesting. I don’t use it often but when I use it I feel like a professional person. I like it because it makes ordinary things sound more exciting. I try to use it when I talk about books movies or ideas that catch my attention. Using it makes my conversations and writing feel more thoughtful. It also helps me express my curiosity about the world. I enjoy hearing it in other people’s conversations because it makes them sound creative. Summary: I counited my 10 page slide  Reflection: I relieved my childhood and brought back what I liked.
