Prompt: Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

The most important issue in my research is how immigration and border control affect immigrant families in the United States. Strict immigration policies can cause fear and stress for many people. My research showed that students and families sometimes worry about deportation and safety. This is important because these Summary: I found best sources with my group Reflection:I found out how to solve issues with my group.

Prompt: What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Our group had trouble choosing sources because we had different opinions on which ones were best. We talked together and explained why we liked certain sources. When we disagreed, we voted and chose the sources most people supported. We also checked if the sources were reliable and related to our topic. By communicating and listening to each other, we were able to finish the assignment successfully. Summary: finished finding quotes from the passages Reflection:I Learned how to work as a team

Prompt: How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward. 5 simple sentneces

Completing the annotated bibliography helped me better understand my research topic by forcing me to look closely at each source. I can now see more clearly what information is most important and relevant. My sources connect by supporting similar ideas and sometimes offering different viewpoints on the same issue. These connections are helping me see patterns and gaps in the research. Moving forward, I am using these sources to shape a clearer and more focused argument. Prompt: Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

The evaluation part of the annotated bibliography was the most challenging for me because it required me to judge how reliable and useful each source was. It was harder than just summarizing since I had to think about the author’s credibility, bias, and the quality of the information. This challenge helped me grow as a researcher by making me more careful and thoughtful about the sources I choose. I learned how to look deeper into a source instead of just accepting it at face value. This will help me when writing my research paper because I will be able to use stronger, more trustworthy evidence. Prompt: As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

As I gathered sources, I noticed that different authors had different opinions and perspectives on the same topic. Some sources focused on the benefits, while others highlighted the problems or risks. These differences showed me that the issue is not simple and can be understood in many ways. By comparing them, I was able to see both sides and think more critically about the topic. This helped me better understand the complexity of the issue and form a more balanced opinion. Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Using GALILEO felt more organized than how I usually search on the open internet. Instead of just typing a question into Google, I had to use specific keywords and filters to find better results. This made the sources more reliable, like academic articles instead of random websites. Evaluating the sources also helped me choose information that was trustworthy and relevant. Overall, using these strategies improved the quality and accuracy of what I found. Summary:Put my sources in a doc and drive Reflection:I learned how to use GALILEO

Prompt: Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

The cartoon criticizes Donald Trump for distracting people with foreign conflicts. He points to Iran attacking Israel to pull attention away from problems at home. The giant elephant labeled “Big Beautiful Bill” represents a major domestic policy issue causing harm. The injured Uncle Sam shows that the American public is being hurt or ignored.  The officer from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement suggests controversial immigration enforcement policies. The cartoonist wants the audience to question whether leaders use international crises to distract from domestic problems. Summary:We did a writable togather Reflection:Learned how to use writable.

Prompt: Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

In the past, I usually searched for information by just typing a general topic into Google. Today I learned that creating specific search phrases helps narrow down results and find more accurate information. Instead of searching one word, using keywords and clear questions brings up better sources. This strategy helps avoid unreliable websites and saves time. It also makes it easier to find information that directly answers the research question. Using specific search phrases will improve the quality and accuracy of my research. Prompt: Your research question is designed to explore a complex issue. What makes this topic difficult to answer or solve? Identify at least two different perspectives or factors related to your topic and explain why understanding multiple viewpoints is important.

Immigration policies in the United States are hard to solve because many people have different opinions. Some people think laws should be stricter to protect jobs and security. Others believe immigrants help the economy and should have more opportunities. Economic needs and human rights both affect immigration decisions. These different perspectives make it hard to create one solution. Understanding multiple viewpoints helps leaders make fair and balanced policies. Prompt: Reflect on your past experiences with research in school. What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

In the past, I have faced challenges with research when working independently because it was sometimes hard to stay organized and manage my time. When working in a group, communication and dividing the work fairly could also be difficult. I handled these challenges by making a plan, setting deadlines, and checking in with teammates. These experiences taught me the importance of staying organized and starting research early. For this project, I will focus on planning my work and communicating clearly if I work with others. I will also make sure to use reliable sources and stay on schedule. Summary: put in groups for reseach project Reflection:learned how to work as a group

If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?

My perfect spring break would be a trip to Europe to watch soccer games.  I would travel to different countries like England, Spain, and Italy.  I would bring my close friends and family who also love soccer.  We would visit famous stadiums and watch live matches every day.  I would also explore cities, try new foods, and meet soccer fans from around the world.  It would be an unforgettable trip filled with excitement, travel, and amazing soccer moments. McCandless set out to live independently in the wilderness, but his death reveals the harsh reality of nature and survival. In your blog post, analyze how his desire for independence contributed to his death. Then, connect this idea to your own life by explaining a time when you wanted complete independence or control over a situation. Did things go as planned, or did you face unexpected challenges?

Chris McCandless wanted complete independence and believed he could survive alone in the wilderness.  He rejected help, limited supplies, and trusted only himself, which made survival much harder.  His lack of preparation and knowledge about nature contributed to his death.  His story shows that independence without support or planning can be dangerous.  In my life, I once wanted full control over a project and decided to do everything myself.  It did not go as planned because I became overwhelmed and learned that asking for help can lead to better results. How does watching the film version of Into the Wild change or deepen your understanding of Chris McCandless compared to reading the book? In your response, explain one key difference in how his character or experiences are presented, and connect this to a time when seeing something visually changed your understanding of a situation.

Watching the film version of Into the Wild helped me understand Chris McCandless better. The movie shows his emotions and struggles more clearly than the book. Seeing the harsh wilderness made his journey feel more real. The book explains his thoughts, but the film shows how lonely he really was. One time visuals changed my understanding was when I watched a documentary after reading about an event. Seeing real images helped me understand the situation more deeply.
